Abstract:
Tourism refers to travel to a certain place for recreation and this act of such travel contributes immensely to the socio-economic and cultural progress of the society of destination regions. For a newly formed autonomous region like the Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD), created after having a turbulent past, development is now a big challenge. The Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD) is a decade old Autonomous Council, lying towards the north west of Assam along the Bhutan foothills. Nature has been benevolent towards the region and has endowed it with rich flora and fauna, and beautiful natural surroundings.
