FinTech stands for the combination of “financial” and “technology”. FinTech is not new, it has a long way of innovations. Information technology has been used by financial service industry to deliver solutions to consumers for half a century. Technology has always change the financial industry. Since 2008, this change accelerated greatly both in terms of disruptive and quantifiable. FinTech has disrupted financial industry in both the developed and developing world. Many new financial solutions have emerged from rapid developing technology. This evolution of FinTech poses challenges for institutions and consumers in harnessing the potential benefits of innovation.
