Abstract:
Objective: Schizophrenia is a serious neuropsychiatric disorder involving major disturbances in the patients thinking, perception, emotions and behavior, associated with morbidity, disability, and a large potential for death, thus carrying a large socioeconomic burden on patients, caregivers and health care providers . Predictors of disability include cognitive deficits and negative symptoms, both of which account for the disability in schizophrenia that is difficult to treat.
