Abstract:
An ever increasing human population exerts a tremendous pressure on agriculture to increase production, to meet the rising food demand. With increasingly deteriorating arable land quality, decreasing soil fertility, increasing soil erosion and dwindling resources, the challenge is further intensified by climate change. Its ironical only that agriculture, one of the major contributing sectors, towards global warming is also the most vulnerable to climate change.
