Abstract:
This article outlines how the transformational leadership style impacts organizational performance; the relationship between individual consideration and organizational performance (OP) in Kenyas Savings and Credit Co-operative (SACCO) movement. The study focused on Mwalimu National, Stima and Kenya Police SACCO Societies. It highlights that a transformational leader listens to each employees concerns and needs, provides support, is empathic of each person’s situation and background, portrays respect and trust to his followers positively and positively impacts OP. The findings from a study on the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational performance of Mwalimu National, Stima and Kenya police SACCO societies confirm that individual consideration is a transformational leadership (TL) element where management acts as a role model and displays a charismatic personality that builds trust with employers and customers who, in return, develop their confidence in the organization.
