The study was undertaken to explore the efficacy of audio-visual teaching materials in EFL Classes in two elementary schools in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The target population comprised 55 boys and 59 girls in the elementary schools. Data was collected from selected pupils, teachers and principals of the two elementary schools. The study sought to identify the common materials, methodologies and expertise used in teaching EFL Classes as well as to establish their effectiveness in using and promoting teaching aids.
