Metacognition Behavior of Junior High School Students in Solving Algebra Problems in Terms of Mathematical Abilities

This study aimed at describing junior high school students metacognitive behavior in terms of thought process, self-reflection and information processing. There were 25 students’ participants and three were selected as subject of this study. Mathematical Ability Test (MAT) and two Metacognition behavior’ tests (MBT) were given to students’ participants and three subjects with high, medium and low mathematics competence were interviewed afterwards.
